Atticus In Oil

Currently, in my spare time, I'm practicing oil painting techniques using M. Graham and Co. oil paints. Here's a goofy portrait of my best friend Atticus. This is on a 6 inch by 6 inch Ampersand bord panel. I had a lot of fun painting this one, especially the eyes. He often has a deep expression through his eyes. I think he resembles Falkor from Neverending Story. I wish he could fly, that would be awesome...

Adventure Time! In Paper!

What time is it?! Adventure Time! I am big fan of the show! Earlier this year, I made some fan art out of bristol paper, Holbein Acryla Gouache paints, mat boards and glue. I had a lot of fun and patience making these paper sculptures! Enjoy!

Meet Atticus!

Last October, I ventured to a valley pound, looking for a pal to adopt. The first time I went, I met a Bichon Frise named Benny. I returned a week later and he was already adopted, but I came home with a half dachshund, half papillon named Atticus. I fell in love and he is such a sweetheart. We are awesome best friends and he is the mellowest dog I've ever met. He's super friendly with everyone, including cats. He loves taking photos as well.

Hal says to lock it up!

Humorous, but very informative tips on locking your bicycle. Have a safe, fun and secure ride!

This holiday season, some people bake cookies while others buy gifts. I prepare sweet stickers. With the aid of my 7-year-old Powerbook G4, Epson 2200 and a few sheets of labels, I made Petri Design Stickers. Cutting these suckers out was just as fun (without the doughy mess). Some designs are based on drawings made during sketch sessions at Priscilla's Cafe. I'm currently translating some of these into t-shirt designs.

If I regularly meet you in person, you're most likely going to receive at least one of these as a gift of thanks. I hope people will enjoy them. You can stick them anywhere (as long as it doesn't cause any trouble). If peeling the backing off becomes too hard, the whole thing becomes a bookmark.

So 2010 everyone, have a festive and safe new year! Let's look forward to lots of creativity, great ideas and productivity. If you have a bicycle, ride it more often!
